Eva Harvell is a visionary leader in educational technology, currently serving as the Director of Technology for the Pascagoula-Gautier School District (PGSD) since 2015. With over a decade of experience driving innovation in K–12 education, Eva specializes in strategic technology integration, professional development, and digital transformation across schools.
Her work has earned national recognition, including being named Tech&Learning Leader of the Year (2013) and Mississippi Educational Computing Association's Administrator of the Year (2021). She is an ISTE+ASCD GenerationAI Educator Fellow and a Research Fellow for the Mississippi AI Collaborative (MSAIC), where she explores the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education.
Eva’s influence extends beyond her district. She served on the Mississippi Department of Education’s Technology Advisory Committee (2018–2022) and regularly contributes to the national conversation on digital citizenship and edtech leadership. She is a published author and conference speaker, presenting at ISTE, FETC, and other major events. Her writing appears in EdSurge, Education Technology Insights, District Administration, and the book School Leader Problem-Solving Skills.
Eva holds an Ed.S. in Administration and an M.Ed. in Elementary Education from William Carey University, along with a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership, continuing her commitment to reshaping professional development and empowering educators through research-based strategies.
